Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer who has gained recognition for her exceptional performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the film Piano. Her acting career began on Broadway through a myriad of Broadway and Off Broadway initiatives. Enthusiastic about acting from the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. The actress was deaf in one ear following a bout of the mumps virus, however she did not permit this to deter the determination of her to become an actor. In her early years, she studied drama in college and moved into New York City from Pittsburgh in order to achieve her goals. In a chance encounter she became trapped in an elevator along with writer Beth Henley and the two worked together on the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. Her first film role was as an actress supporting the lead character of Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in numerous films, TV series as well as movies throughout the span of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
